Monika is a pastry chef and cake artist. She was born with a rolling pin in her hand and has been cooking with her grandmother since she can remember. She was even allowed to take over the Christmas baking for her family at age 11. You could say she was born for the job.
Her early days in the kitchen led her to attend culinary school and begin her career in the hospitality industry. Monika worked in a small jam and gingerbread production, had her own pastry shop, and was invited to work alongside Croatian pastry chef Petra Jelenic. Once she moved to London she accepted a position as pastry chef at Ottolenghi. As a long time admirer of Yotam, she felt like she landed her dream job. In 2020 Monika decided to set off on her own and start a wedding cake business and began teaching wafer paper flower art. She is now a head baker at The Big London Bake and brings her vibrant personality and years of talent to the marquee every day!
